Like many parents I get frustrated and concerned with the amount of time my teenagers spend on the computer and specifically the internet. In my house, training teenagers to take a message has been pretty easy. Getting them to give me the message – not so much. So, my solution is to have everyone in my household write telephone messages in a carbonless message book. That way if they forget to give me the top copy I still have the bottom copy as a back up.
My friend Lisa Henderson, part owner of Impact Visual Communications, told me that she likes this strategy because she can look back and find people’s phone numbers.
